Why collect painted metal? Well, it is fun to try and find plates, to see all the different years and styles but not only that. They are a part of history. To some, they are worthless pieces of junk, but to others they are what they dream to have.

You are safe collecting license plates because there are many that are collectors of them. They even have the club called ALPCA witch you may want to join. So if you invest in them, you will get your money back if you want to sell, at anytime (If you did not pay more than it's value). Oldies are worth more, and if you wait, yours will make money. So why not collect?
